A friend of mine was in jail for over a year. While she was in there she received diazipam - generic valium (spelling?) - in the benzo class of drugs.

Part of her probation when she was released was for her to join the drug court program - this means she had to have weekly drug tests and stay drug free. So, no more valiums either.

She winded up trying out a calming natural supplement called valerian root. This really helped her with her anxiety and her dependence on the benzos.
